Baheej Tourism Development Launches Multi-Waterfront Destinations in Yanbu, Ushering in a New Era of Sustainable Tourism
Baheej Tourism Development Breaks Ground on Multi-Waterfront Destinations in YanbuYanbu, Jan. 27, 2025 – HRH Prince Salman bin Sultan Al Saud, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, witnessed the groundbreaking of Baheej Tourism Development Company's first tourism project in Yanbu.
A joint venture between ASFAR (PIF-owned Saudi Tourism Investment Company) and the Tamimi-AWN Alliance, Baheej's development spans 80,000 square meters and features four major attractions: a Beach Escape, Marine Visitor Center, Lifestyle Hotel, and a yet-to-be-announced waterfront destination.
Yanbu, rich in history and coastal beauty, is envisioned as a premier Saudi waterfront hub. CEO Nora Al Tamimi emphasized Baheej’s commitment to creating sustainable, immersive tourism experiences that showcase Saudi Arabia’s heritage and natural landscapes while boosting the local economy.
The project will roll out in three phases, prioritizing sustainability through renewable energy and water conservation. Baheej’s initiative aligns with Vision 2030, aiming to transform Saudi cities into vibrant tourist destinations.
Baheej was founded in 2023 as a diversified destination management company. It collaborates with Saudi cities to develop eco-friendly communities and world-class tourism experiences. Additional projects in other Saudi cities will be announced later this year.
